Guidance for this officially recognised EMS standard (recommended by the government) is set out below. Acorn offers accredited recognition for organisations evaluating and improving their environmental performance through the phased implementation of an environmental management system (EMS).
As the new regulations came into force on 11 January 2010 the Commission is currently in the process of developing new guidance for the regulation. A an introductory guide to EMAS is available to download below, further guidance will be published later in the year. Guidance is available within the new regulation, which can be downloaded below;
